The Tamil localization of Moodle for the Sri Lankan context has been started by UCSC to promote e-Learning among tamil community, which is a minority at Sri Lanka. This initiative supported by the PANdora project (www.pandora-asia.org) and NeLc project implemented by the UCSC.

Initially the localization has been targeted for Moodle 1.6.2., but due to recent availability of newer Moodl versions, the localization work has been expanded to the latest Moodle version. Currently more than 50% of the work has been completed and the language pack will be released soon.

Note: Soon we will submit the language pack to Moodle as ta_lk (Pending approval) .
